What is Intercitrus? |

The Spanish Inter-professional Citrus Body INTERCITRUS was formed in 1993. It is the Food and Agriculture Inter-professional Organisation for the Orange and Mandarin Industry in keeping with the stipulations of law 38/1994 of 30th December, which regulates Food and Agriculture Inter-professional Organisations.
Intercitrus represents the whole of the Spanish citrus industry through associations representative of the production, marketing and industrialisation sectors for the orange and mandarin industry, which are associated with Intercitrus.
The aims of Intercitrus are as follows:
• To carry out activities that lead to a better understanding, efficiency and transparency of the markets.
• To improve the quality of products and all the processes involved in the food and agriculture chain, carrying out monitoring from the production phase to the end consumer.
• To promote research and development programmes to boost innovative processes in the different sectors.
• To promote and spread knowledge about citrus production and its derivatives.
• To promote activities that provide suitable information for consumers’ interests.
• To carry out activities that aim to protect the environment better.
• To carry out activities that enable citrus products and their derivatives to be continuously adapted to the demands of the market. |
